Model and actor Ahn Jae-hyun recently opened up about a major change in his lifestyle — switching from driving a Porsche to a compact car due to his current financial circumstances.
On April 27, a new video titled was uploaded to Ahn Jae-hyun’s YouTube channel. In the clip, he personally replaces his car’s air-conditioning filter for the first time. Speaking candidly, the actor mentioned, “At some point, the car started to smell. It’s good to replace the air filter regularly even outside of summer — it helps with air quality and filtering out fine dust,” showing his commitment to maintaining his vehicle himself.
Previously, Ahn Jae-hyun had shared his experiences of driving luxury vehicles, even including supercars, during his acting career, as he often portrays wealthy characters. “I’ve driven many supercars thanks to my roles, but the Porsche was my favorite. I’d love to drive one again someday,” he reflected. However, he now feels a strong attachment to his compact car, calling it the most fun and comfortable driving experience he’s had.
When asked by the production team whether the downgrade was difficult, the actor admitted with a bittersweet smile, “It was tough. Of course, I still dream of driving my dream car. But to be honest, I’m driving this car now because it fits my financial situation”.
On the other hand, Ahn Jae-hyun married fellow actress Goo Hye-sun in 2016 but divorced in 2020. Years after his divorce, the actor has mentioned visiting a matchmaking agency in one of his previous videos.
